Curious. Family keeps making jokes about twins.

Ladies, I'm curious. I keep seeing pregnancy tests from women who are just as far along as I am, but with faint lines or lines that aren't as dark. Mine aren't faint and I'm not even 5 weeks yet. Could I really have that much HCG? If so, anyone have any idea why?
