Just needing to vent. I work as a pre-k teacher and we are often outside (playing and field trips) and it's inching up to 100 degrees outside. I wore shorts that came down to my mid thigh or longer and was told that they were not work appropriate. We aren't allowed to wear athletic wear so I've been wearing my husbands khaki shorts 🙄 whatever I can deal. We just talked to my boss about tank tops and she said as long as they weren't Cami straps she didn't care. So I wore a typical loose fitting tank top yesterday and was told that that was no longer allowed. I can wear sleeveless but not tank tops. I'm really struggling because clothes shopping is frustrating and I'm not about to spend a bunch of money on maternity wear that I won't wear in 13 weeks. I'm also 26 weeks pregnant and dying of heatstroke everyday and I'm pretty much forced to wear jeans, black leggings (with my butt covered of course), or shorts that go to my knee. I'm 6'2" and am having a hard time finding shorts that go down that far....my boss came to me yesterday and said that her boss told her that I was "wearing my shorty shorts last Thursday". I WAS WEARING MY HUSBANDS SHORTS. I'm all for professional dress and I do dress modestly but jeeeeezzzz can we please stop nitpicking everything women wear. It's brought me to tears several times and I'm currently on my couch in a bra and underwear because I have no clue what to wear. Sorry super long but I needed some venting time!
