Toddler bed?

Question

When to move your toddler to toddler bed and out of a crib? My daughter is almost 2 and we have another on the way in Nov.  Is there any signs when they are ready?

My son hated his crib... he would always want to sleep in our bed. So that's when we took the side off his crib and put up the toddler half side. 
🙂 Made bedtime alot better. 
Now we have a little one on the way also, but in September. So we just got him a twin bed so we could use the crib for baby 🙂 
He's currently LOVING his big boy bed haha not to mention its nice incase I have to lay down with him.

Usually when they start trying to climb out of the crib is a good time to switch. My daughter never climbed out of her crib and just started getting too big for it and she just seemed cramped in there, considering she always wanted to have 20 stuffed animals in with her. So we switched her about a month after her third birthday. She did great with the transition, but about two months after, she started getting up out of her bed every night, sometimes twice a night! And it still going on… So my fiancé and I are tired. Definitely wait as long as you possibly can.
