Do you always get bloodwork?

Do you always get bloodwork at your first appointment? My first appt is this Friday. I will be 8 weeks on Friday. They told me I am getting an ultrasound... I'm a little baby when it comes to getting blood drawn. Trying to prepare myself!

Yes for 1st appt but not at every one after (tho expect urine tests every time). My 1st appt they took 6 vials!

Yepp. Be prepared to be a pin cushion! I couldn't believe how many tubes they took at my first visit

Honestly I've had my blood drawn at almost every visit.  I got used to it in my first pregnancy but I know I have my blood drawn because my type of anemia needs to be tracked.

I didn't but it was because my ob's office doesn't draw blood for some reason.

They didn't do bloodwork at my 8 week but told me to expect it at 10 weeks.  I'm low risk and a ftm, but on the older side for that (34)

Yup ALWAYS! I was too during my first pregnancy now it's nothing. Doesn't even bother me.
