Do I wait or do I take the test?

Question

I had surgery 6 days ago and by all accounts was a complete success. The surgery was on my ear. I had unprotected sex during ovulation and my period was due 5-7 days ago. I've heard that operations can possibly stop your menstral flow in its track because of the stuff they use to knock you out. But I'm still thinking I could be pregnant. I've had dizzy spells, feeling sick, cramps on both sides of my stomach and now a missed period. 
Do I wait to see if it comes back on it's own or do I take a pregnancy test??

Test was negative but I'm still not convinced I'm not pregnant! Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I keep having these mood swings, I'm always hungry,  I'm having on and off dizzy spell. I just...I want to be sure but then I think if i go to the doctor they'll just say it's due to the operation and won't take me seriously!

Take a pregnancy test because if your 5-7 days late on your period a positive result would definitely show if you are pregnant. If the test is negative then you'll know it's due to the surgery :)
