She's probably doing that to just make you mad. Mothers are bitches when it comes to their sons gfs, she needs to stop it. I'd confront her about y'all being together for 3 years and she still hasn't learned your name. To stop acting childish and grow up.

Mother in law did to me and she would tell me stories and I use to always kill her with kindness and smile and say OH NO WAY WHAT ELSE? and I use to even say his ex was pretty about my husband ex lol even tho she wasn't just so my
Mother in law can know that she can't phase me and she's literally obsessed with my husband she has tried everything in the book to break us apart lol so I checked my husband and told him to check her before I flip on her and leave him and he did and now she minds her own business =] lol so stand up for urself and tell ur husband if u don't want to deal with her about it directly .. pretty much shut her up urself
Or thru ur husband I think it's better when he does it just to piss her off

I use to get called his ex's name all the time, but in anyone's defense our names are similar. Even meeting new people if introduce myself too fast people call me that name. It's just a name. People are bad with them. However, if after 3 years they're still "confusing" the name there's an issue that needs to be discussed.

My mom did it about my now husband the first year or two we were together. 6 years later she still sometimes calls him my sisters ex's name. She's always been bad with names.

I don't think so but she will bring up things about his first gf. I think moms feel broken up with too when their son stops dating a girl.  My mil has no daughters so her sons gfs and now wives kind of took on that role in a way.
