What does DPO mean?

I'm just trying to make sure that I'm understanding the lingo correctly. So "Dpo" does stand for "Days past ovulation" correct? & if that's the case, if you're 10 dpo, that would mean that if you have a regular 28 day cycle, and you ovulate on day 14 & your period arrives on the 28th day, then 10 days past ovulation (Day 24) means that your period hasn't arrived yet correct? Did I calculate this correctly? lol
