When should I tell my family I'm pregnant? I don't want to tell them too soon but I don't want to wait forever either. I'm 17 years old. About how many weeks should I be before I tell them?

I told my mom the day I found out, but that's just me. You should wait until you feel the time is right & like you're able to.

it really depends on your parents. i didn't want to tell my parents at all because i knew they'd respond negatively (which they did), but my sister convinced me to tell them at six weeks. if you think your parents will go about it well then i would tell them early so they can help you find a doctor and such.

I was 21 and married when I found out I was pregnant with my first child (that we lost at 8 weeks) and I was still afraid to tell my mom. I thought she would be mad, but she was actually really excited! My sister ended up having to tell her for me, actually, because I was so scared. She even knew before I did. She said she would tell I was pregnant at my wedding but I didn't even know them. Now I'm 22 and 18 weeks pregnant with my second.
