Alien refugees?

Okay so I'm watching superman movies and what not and then I had this idea for a post. And then I laughed when I brought it here because my name is alien and lmao 
But, let's say aliens exist and they somehow lose their planet. It explodes, dies somehow  And they seek refuge on our planet. Would you be for it or against it? I mean if they have the technology to get here from wherever I'm just gonna shut up and let them chill here because, crap. And what are we gonna do about it?  Shoot them back off into space like "hope you live lmao"

I'd want to extend them aid on humanitarian (sentientbeingitarian?) grounds.

However my major concern would be biological contaminants affecting our ecosystem i.e. Their icky space germs could theoretically and inadvertently kill us all. Like what's happened after first contact between various civilizations throughout world history.

I still don't want to vote Hell mo though, so fingers crossed smarter people than me could invent some sort of kick ass space inoculation. 🤞🏻👩🏼‍⚕️

I'd like to do whatever we could to help but the risks that could come with actually letting them live on earth are insane. Simply the germs they have could wipe us all out unintentionally. They could be incredibly destructive to the environment, kind of like how non-native animals are to new lands, they aren't meant to be there and it destroys the wild life, but probably to a far greater extent in this case. Then there's population size, we're already overpopulated and if it was a large amount of them, again, that could kill us. There's too many things that could go wrong but if there was a safe way of helping, sure.

Our species can barely handle different skin colors and sexualities or political views. We can't even handle "aliens" from other countries. So I said no lol.

Although I've always thought aliens were cool so part of me is intrigued by the idea of this

I say yes.

1. They're sentient beings searching for preotection with no where else to go.

2. They somehow have the tech to quickly locate from one planet to another, we would need that if say something that blew them up also wanted to blow us up

3. Said tech could be a gateway to communicating with more species out there and gaining more assistance with space exploration

4. I recognize there may be some issues with, as another user said, space bugs or something, but I imagine with proper handling of the situation we could safely quarantine (not like a jail) any visitors and work from there.

Definitely not, the cons far outweigh the pros. It wouldn't be a good idea unless we did a thorough check of every possibility and were totally sure they weren't lying about anything...which would be hard to do. They could be carrying something that kills off the whole planet, they could end up trying to be sneaky and taking over our planet etc. There would be too many unknown factors involved for it to be a safe idea.

I voted "oh hell no" because we don't know much about them at all. That can be very dangerous to just treat them like they aren't any different than us because we really don't know if they are planning to hurt us or not.
