My doctor recently made me come off my pill as she thought it was dangerous as my great grandma had a stroke. I've been on it for about 5 years, so since I was 14 (went on it because my periods where irregular and skin problems) . 3 of my aunties on my dad's side have PCOS, and I'm not sure if I should get tested (had an ultrasound before and asked but apparently the pill masks it). I don't have the classic symptoms like weight gain/lots of hair, but when I was younger I did have irregular periods. I've only had one period since stopping the pill which seemed relatively normal (but took a month and a half for it to start since I finished the pill). Thanks!!
