IUI cost?

We have been TTC for 4 1/2 years. All tests come back fine and my ob/gyn said we may need an intrauterine insemination. My insurance wouldn't even cover the cost of the blood tests when I was on clomid. So how much would an IUI be?

Thanks yall! I will never understand why insurance companies will pay for birth control and other methods of preventing babies but won't pay a dime for helping have babies. :)

With appointments, bloodwork, ultrasounds, medications, back to back IUIs, and post bloodwork it was $1820. We live in Miami if that helps.

It depends on a lot of factors.  Mine seems to come out to just under $1000 total per cycle.  $350 for the actual procedure, $150 each ultrasound (I usually have 2) and $300-400 for meds.  One of the nurses at my clinic told me most people have to have more ultrasounds than I do.  I also don't get any blood work and others do.

Depends if it is monitored with ultrasounds or not. The IUI itself is usually $400 give or take, but with all the ultrasounds, bloodwork and meds our IUI cycle ran over 2k.
