High blood pressure and blood test???

Went to the doctor today and she said blood pressure was high which is like a first in my life time! Mine is always super low. My question is she did a blood test, whst is she testing for does anyone know? And if I fail this test... or whatever ill be induced right? Im 38 +3

If your BP stays high they'll probably induce because that's the only "cure" and at this point it's only going to get higher. If you were like 34 weeks they would monitor you and try to keep it down, but the best thing now since you're so far along is to get the baby out. I was induced at 38w4d for high blood pressure that had literally just started that week and this is what my doctor told me.

Same happened to me at my last appt. Blood pressure was high for the first time so they sent me to labor and delivery for a non stress test and bloodwork. They are checking to make sure you do not have preeclampsia. If you do they will probably induce.

Preeclampsia. My blood pressure has always been perfect and within the last week it's been high but no blood test yet. They will probably induce if you have it.
