when/who/how to tell the good news?
I intend to wait until after my 1st ultrasound before I share the news with anyone. And 2nd trimester before we openly share. With that said... My family lives in another state and a few weeks after my 1st ultrasound I already have a trip planned to go visit for a family wedding. (I'll be about 12 wks) I'd like to tell my parents in person so I plan to tell them on that visit. I would also like to tell my siblings and close friend who all live there. Here's where it gets tricky... In talking with my husband I suggested we tell his parents (who are local) before the trip. We could then call his siblings (out of the area and no planned trips) after telling my folks.
He did not like that! He wants to tell his siblings as soon as we tell his parents, but I think both sets of parents should know before anyone else.
Am I being silly for not wanting to tell his siblings before my parents? He said we could wait and tell his parents after, but I don't feel comfortable telling my siblings and a friend if his parents don't know and I'd like to share the news in person.
