when to take baby out and about?

So, prepping to be a first time mom and I have to say I'm more scared of my kid catching measles than I am to give birth. At what age is it "okay" to take your baby out? Is there a certain point where they're vaccinated enough that the risk for catching stuff from unvaccinated people goes down?

I live in CA where kids HAVE to be vaccinated, but I'm not super worried about taking my baby out. We'll still go to the grocery store, get breakfast, go to the corner store, etc probably as soon as we get home and I'm up and about.

It's okay to take your baby out and about right away...just be mindful of where you go and don't be shy about telling people not to touch. If you attempt to keep baby at home for the first 2 months you'll go stir crazy.

*If you are breastfeeding your baby will be getting your antibodies which will protect him/her from getting sick.
