What brand bottles are/did you use?

Question

I'm planning on breastfeeding and only using bottles when my partners or someone else wants to feed my son. Just looking for recommendations. My mom used Dr. Browns with my sister and those seemed good, but I think they let a lot of air in so not sure.

Kiinde system is the best! You pump directly into the bags and then pop them into the bottle for feeding. Super easy and very little stuff to wash. Also if your baby doesn't like the kiinde nipple you can use an attachment for different brands. 
My daughter is EBF and only gets a bottle occasionally and so far I've been extremely happy with Kiinde. 😊

Dr Brown's are great if you have a gassy colicky baby, which I did. The cons- they leak a lot. There's more parts to clean. The narrow Bottles are harder for babies to learn to hold. The nipples aren't very similar to a breast nipple so some babies have issues with it.

We tried so many different bottles but stuck with them because of his gas issues. He couldn't latch anyways so I didn't have to worry about it not being similar to a nipple.

We like lifefactory and comotomo bottles. If you use lifefactory they fit onto the Medela parts so you can pump into them as well. They also make caps to turn them into sippy cups when you are ready for those. I would recommend purchasing one of several types of bottles and then seeing which your baby prefers.

Avent with all three kids. I used some others on the side...nuk, tommee tippee, dr browns, mam, parents choice but the avent was the ones my kids and I have liked most.

Don't invest in too many, baby might not like the brand. We do avent and love it.

We used Avent for my daughter, but this time around we are using Life Factory glass bottles. They are definitely more pricey, however they have many benefits. My sister in law loved them and suggested them.

It's really up to the preference of your baby and what they will latch on to. For that reason, we only bought a starter set of 4 to see if she will like them before investing in more.

Also, you can buy toppers for the bottles to transition them into sippy cups! And since they're glass, they'll last forever. 👍🏻

I do the same thing, my daughter is breastfed for the most part but sometimes if we're going out somewhere we'll give her a bottle for convenience reasons. We struggled to find a bottle that she'd actually drink from though. With just about every bottle it would be so much easier to get milk out of compared to the breast that when she sucked for a mouthful she'd get more than she was used to and choke/spit it back up. The only bottle she doesn't have a problem with is the Minbie bottles. The teat is shaped like a nipple for them to suck on and it simulates the same flow as when breastfeeding aswell (:
