Feeling hot during period.

Sooo I've been on birth control for a little over a year. The last 3 months my doctor had me take it for 3 months straight rather than take the placebos at the end of the pack. So I haven't had a period in 3 months. I just went off the pill and started my period Sunday. And I don't plan on going back on the pill.  But I've been feeling hot lately, like I'll sweat just making my bed lol. And my house isn't hot, it's 70 degrees. Is this from the pill? I don't remember experience this before! Please help!
