Do opks work as hpt?

I have seen people post about it and I thought it was weird but I wasn't sure

You can't rely on.that but after I got my.bfp, my opks were super dark

I took one just for fun after I got a positive BFP (I had lots of WONDFO ovulation strips left). It totally worked for me. The test line was even darker than the control. Ovulation and HCG have similar proteins. So it is possible to use a OPK as a form of pregnancy test. Although you could get false results.
