what do you consider a natural delivery?

I may have to be induced but planning to go natural as in no epidural. Is this still considered going natural even if i have to be induced??

I believe a natural delivery is when you just have an IV and you get absolutely no pain meds at all and you give birth vaginally. I really wanted to have a natural childbirth because my sister and mother did it with all of their children but after 15 hours a full labor I broke down and got an epidural

Yes it is. Being induced is out of your control so that doesn't count as "receiving medication". Also, going natural really is about using other coping techniques to deal with labor such as breathing and meditation and counter pressure and NOT receiving medication to take the pain away during the intense moments. Don't be discouraged, you can still do it and there is no shame in having to be induced! There's no shame in any way to get through labor but certainly not in being induced!

Very good question, I would love to know the answer as well. At present in my hospital no epidural are given unless you are having a C Section.
