So when does it kick in? I'm worried I'm never gonna get them

Don't you worry about it at all. The love you feel isn't always instant. It hasn't ever been for me. When the baby gets here I care for it because I know I have to and I need to and my love grows as I get to know them. It may take a few days, but it will kick in! As far as knowing what to do with them.... good luck! Mine are 9 years old and 6 and I still don't k ow what I'm doing most of the time. I just do my best and love them!

I explained it to a friend as not necessarily a love at first sight but a deep need to protect and care for this little intriguing human. Love comes as you get to know each other. My mom told me that need to keep them safe is your first experience with motherly love and it just gets bigger every second of every day.
