infertility costs!

So my husband and I have been ttc for 2 years! A couple months ago we finally decided to go to a fertility specialist. The first thing they recommended for us is blood work to determine what the issues were. Well unfortunately our insurance sucks and will not cover anything dealing with infertility. So a month or so after we have bloodwork, we receive bill for $10,500. Does anyone have any experience with this?! How does blood work cost that much?!? I am floored! I mean obviously we can't pay that! Any suggestions?!
