Can I use duct tape to mail out a package??

It's those yellow envelopes with the bubble wrap lining inside. Can I use duct tape to package my item? I'm going to be dropping it off in the mailbox. I ran out of clear tape :/

No usps does not like duct tape they will put it back in your mailbox saying to repackage it i had this issue a week ago my mom had something shipped to my house thinking it would get here in time while she was visiting it didnt i opened it to show her a pic took it up to the post office the next day and the lady said that needs to go into another package she gave me one and a shipping label i think it all costed me $7 to ship got to my mom 3 days later
