Cosleeper??

Question

Just want opinions and advice from those who use(d) a cosleeper. Is it convenient? Is it an unnecessary purchase? Do you also buy a regular crib? First time mom who plans to breastfeed.

One of my best friends used it with both her kids until she felt comfortable bed sharing. She had a crib but I don't think either kid slept in it much.

We're planning on co sleeping and bed sharing and then transitioning little one to a floor bed. But if that doesn't work then we'll get a crib at ikea.

Yes, I'm buying a crib so that he can have a room/nursery and I'm sure I'll use it to put him down while I'm cleaning the house or have loud company over. I'm planning on breastfeeding too and I will be buying a bassinet to keep next to the bed

I have a Moses basket on a stand next to my bed. He will be in it for a few months then I'll move him over to a crib. I have shared our bed with a few naps but bed sharing is not something that I want to do.
