Makena Shots?

Question

Who's had them and what side effects?

Not worried about the pain just wanting to know if anyone miscarried or anything like that.

Also when did you deliver after stopping?

Update: not going to be able to afford to get them so hopefully my drs have a plan b.

I just finished mine last Thursday started at 16 weeks now 36 weeks they stung a little during and after but nothing horrible nurse switched sides in hips weekly! So excited they worked and almost term!!!!!

Had them weekly from 18-35 weeks i had the common raised bump itchy bump and hard bump from the injection site mine was delivered to my home and given in home by my husbands gma who is a retired RN ICU nurse and IV therapy nurse we switched off one week it was left cheek then the next it was riht cheek etc never get it in the top of the thigh that hurts aoo much worse we did that to give my butt a rest one week and nope didnt do that again

I had these. A little stinging but not too bad. I realized though it depends on where they stick you- some nurses are good and some aren't. Make sure they are doing it in the most cushy part of your bum :)

I'm on them at 30 weeks. I delivered my daughter at 34 weeks 12 years ago. Taking them as a precaution. Mine burn!!! I get a bump and itch at the injection site, but they honestly aren't that bad. No other side effects other than that! Wish I could tell you when I'll deliver. The way I look at it is if it means you get to leave the hospital with your little one, it's worth it! I can't imagine what it's like for the moms that don't get to. Hope this helps you. :)
