Can you use heating pads during labor?

And if so which kind? Does the hospital supply it for you?

My doctor told me to use them for my rib pain, but she said not to put it on my uterus at all because heat is bad for the babies.

Yup :) although I've been told my whole pregnancy to limit to 10 minutes and then let your skin completely cool off before using again.
