Going on 6 days late

So day 6 late took a test today still negative I really don't know what to do honestly.. I called my obgyn to schedule a blood test but they won't do it for me.. they told me to wait another week to test from Fridays date 6/17.. buy I feel like it should be here I was on time.ladt month I don't get it .. they say because I was on birth control for so long but I need help because I am about to freak out .. I also have thyroid problems as well.. started taking a prenatal this.morning as well .. I want to have a baby so bad hate that all my family and friends are having them and I am almost 29 years old and nothing 😞
