36+5 weeks pregnant + severe swelling

so at my 36 week appointment i was checked, 2 cm dilated 50% effaced. she took my blood twice to check on my levels because my feet and legs are severely swollen. blood work came back fine but i lost my mucus plug two days after i was checked. walking is extremely painful from the swelling. do you think asking at my 37 week appointment to be induced or put on bed rest is a bad thing?! i still work full time and i don't usually get breaks.
