walking to naturally induce before 40w?

im currently 34w, and i HATE being pregnant. i know its a beautiful gift, but im soooo over it already! ive been having cramping and back pain similar to period pain, along with mild diarrhea. babes been head down for over 6 weeks, and the pressure makes it almost impossible to do anything. so my question is after 36 weeks if she hasnt made an appearance, is it safe to walk a mile or so a day to encourage labor? i know shell ultimately arrive when shes ready, but ive heard being more active can encourage labor. what do you think?

You can walk at anytime, that's good exercise but it will not make you go into labor anytime sooner.

Woman's labors shorter ! Anyway it's good either way for the baby for you and for labor cause it keeps your stamina up! I'm currently walking 2 miles a day for an hour every day and I feel so good ! I've been doing it since 34 1/2 weeks and I just turned 36 weeks ! And I'm going to keep walking everyday until labor !

It also keeps weight down, helps with circulation, helps with swelling, and prepares you physically for the labor ahead !

Walking is great to do either way but it's not going to make you go into labor, because as you already said, you know the baby will come when it's ready.

Full term is 39 weeks and you're not post term until 42 weeks. Not everyone loves pregnancy but you have a ton of time before baby is safe to arrive. Best to relax and find a hobby or something.

My baby boy was head down back at week 27. Went to the hospital at week 28 because it seemed odd to be in that much pain. Anyways, walking is nice exercise but not much more than that. It won't do much of anything until you're actually having contractions.
