I've had Nexplanon for 2 months and a few weeks. For the first few weeks I experienced bleeding, and then it stopped like my doctor said it would. Since I got the Nexplanon, I've had a lot of unprotected sex with my lover. On Wednesday I contracted a UTI and since then have been drinking water and eating garlic. I thought by now I had flushed it out of my system because the symptoms went away but just now I suddenly had the urge to pee strongly although only a bit came out which was one of my symptoms so I'm getting back to water and garlic. On Friday I had extremely rough sex with my lover and since then, I've been bleeding. At first I thought it was just because he fingered me but had sharp nails, but now mini clots are coming out and I think I'm either just experiencing a really bad tear or I'm having a period very close to what my original date would have been if not for the birth control. That's worrying me because if I'm still able to have a consistent period, I am still releasing eggs even on birth control, right? I have no idea what is going on with my vaginal flora. One week everything is in order and the next it's down the drain.
