stomach pains!

So I am currently 37w 1d and I have been having on and off pains in my abdomen all day. Like to the point of crying it hurts so bad. I also have been getting these sharp pains right above my vagina when the stomach pains occur. I have been cramping on and off for the past 4 days and have had diarrhea. Is this something I should be concerned about? I'm a first time mom and have never experienced labor so I don't know what to look for and when to be concerned. Any suggestions or advice on what I should do would be appreciated!
