Easy going amusement park rides okay during pregnancy

I'm not talking about big roller coasters. I'm speaking of the carousel or easy going rides. At the amusement park, things like the carousel said pregnant women should not ride. While my sister and I weren't told no and rode them, why are pregnant women advised against easy going rides? Is it just a liability thing?
