When to buy maternity clothes?

This is my first pregnancy and I am 16 weeks. I feel like I need to buy different clothes now as I am not fitting in mine, when is the typical time to buy clothes?

I bought them around 9weeks the bloat was too much. A lot of people don't even use them. I myself hate anything pushing on my tummy.

I love my maternity jeans! Might break them back out next Thanksgiving. Haha! But seriously, don't worry about getting stuff too early. It's more important to be comfortable.

I finally bought maternity pants last weekend and was 16w4d.  The lady was dumbfounded that I didn't buy clothes around 12-13 weeks.  The look on my face must have said it all, but it was pure relief.  I never thought stretchy jeans would be so amazing.  3 days later and I have a new pep in my step.  😃

I just got some at 16 weeks and it is so nice to be comfortable again!  I used the website thredup.com and got a great deal on lots of stuff. It is used clothes but they are in great shape and ship quickly :)

Bought mine around 10-12 weeks. I'm overweight but had just switched to a smaller size jeans before getting pregnant so they got tight really quick. Maternity jeans are amazing!

Heck I've been in them since 6 weeks  initially because of bloat but now because of baby.  They are soooo much more comfortable!

After using the hair tie trick till week 15, i caved an bought maternity pants. I wish I would have bought them sooner bc I would have been more comfortable and gotten more use out of them. I'd say by them when you start feeling your jeans get snug. It's worth it!
