Ready to TTC, but husband is not on board yet...
My husband have been married almost 5 years, we just bought our first home together about half a year ago, we both have stable jobs and probably 3-4 months of bills saved in our savings.
We've had our bumps in the road but have definitely have matured over the years together since we got married when we were young, 20 yo.
So we are now both 25 and I'm having very very BAD baby fever. It's hard when his step brother and wife who got together and married around the time we did, have had a baby and are talking about their second. And his brother and his wife who hadn't been together long at all have had a baby. Now I have plenty of friends left and right getting pregnant and I've tried so hard to do everything in order... love, marriage, home and my husband insists we can't afford it.
Yes paying for childcare is a concern, but if everybody else can do it why can't we? He's so afraid of "being broke" that it scares him to be a dad I think. I see him with his niece and nephews and my heart break and just want to see him that way with our child and have a baby of my own.
I'm on birth control as of right now and sometimes just wish I be that slim chance it fails... 😩
What should I do? How do I get my husband prepared to be ok with our finances enough to take the plunge??
