Starting to get discouraged...

I'm 37+5 and I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever. I read a lot of these posts and I'm not experiencing a lot of the things that other women as far along as I am. I have no signs of losing my mucous plug, my BH contractions have all but stopped coming, and at my last appointment, my doctor tried to check my cervix and told me he couldn't even reach it without hurting me because it's still too far back. Has anyone else been through something similar and still had their baby by their due date? This is my second baby, but my first daughter was born nearly 10 years ago and I hear that after 7 years the body forgets and it's like doing it for the first time all over again.
