Thyroid Issues?

Question

Has anyone been TTC and found out they have thyroid issues? I had bloodwork done yesterday and found out my levels are high. Said that is why I AF is irregular and I am having trouble conceiving. Has anyone been put on medication and saw positive changes?

Yes I did ! Stop BC in January 2014 in order to give me a few cycles off the pill before starting TTC. No periods for 6 months and we found out I had hypothyroidism. I started taking Levothyrox (25) in August and 50 since November. My levels are back to normal and my cycles are since then reducing (from 2 months each to 35ish this cycle I think - I am in the TWW limbo...).

Yes!! TTC for almost two years. Super irregular cycles. Finally found I have s low thyroid, I'm on meds now and my cycles have been regular 😃

I found out and the doc put me on synthroids. However, they just found out a year later that I also have low progesterone (which may be causing the thyroid issue!!). I was upset to find this out so much later after trying with no success. If you haven't, get your progesterone tested too.

I think this is why I am having a hard time TTC & the reason I gained 20+ lbs after stopping BC. Both my mom and grandma have a hypothyroid. I have a dr apt next Friday to get bloodwork done.
