Do you pee before or after sex?

I know that eve tells me that you should pee both, before and after sex but when I go before I can't go after. So is it okay if I just go AFTER sex? Could I still get a UTI if I don't go before and after?

You could get a UTI either way. My doctor told me drink a glass of water before and after so you go. I've got a UTI from not going before sex. So why I always go before and after and do what my doctor said just in case.

Peeing beforehand will help to flush any bacteria present around the urethra that might be pushed into it during intercourse. With that being said, peeing afterwards does the same thing. Personally, I'd be more concerned about peeing afterward and would think that if I didn't go before, it wouldn't be as much of a big deal.

I've always gone after and never had any UTI or other issues. Plus I can push out more and help with clean up.
