first ultrasound

Hello! I had my first ultrasound today at 8 weeks. The woman was doing her thing to my full bladder then was like do you want to see any of this? Obviously I do. She showed me my baby and the heartbeat - small but cute.. I definitely cried. Then I asked for a photo and she said they don't do photos this early and to come back at 18 weeks. I'm kind of bummed. I live in Ontario - has this happened to anyone else?
