Best Birth Control for Teens?

I really want to get birth control but my mother is completely against it. She doesn't want me to mess up my hormones (which are already out of whack) and messing around with my boyfriend. So she says there's no need for it. 
Is there any way that I could start birth control without her knowing? I'm only 16 and just started working so I don't have that much money. Also what type do you suggest for somebody in my situation? I've heard good things and bad things about each.

Go to planned parenthood. They're VERY affordable (if not free) you can keep birth control a secret from your mom (your legal age of consent plus doctor patient confidentiality)

Go to a public health office and tell them your mom won't let you be on birth control. You can get any type of birth control there for free. You can do a ton of research about birth control online! Pregnancy messes up hormones even more j/s 😉
