He's got refractive amblyopia sort of like lazy eye but they caught it thank god!! His vision is awful.. But the past week his little eyes have been getting stuck and he just cries and gets so terrified I took him to the eye doctor and they said its good he fought it it meant his brain hadn't started ignoring the eye. But they also told us in the beginning he may wake up one morning and his eyes be crossed and if not correctly treated he'd go blind by 12 years old. My heart is broken. The doctor told us when it happens make him close his eyes and relax. But it's happening even in his sleep basically the muscles are giving out on him. I'm so worried and upset. I let him sleep often because the doctor said he needed plenty of rest. When it happens I calmly talk to him and remind him of how the doctor is helping him and how great his doctor is. And tell him now doctor sample said we have to close our eyes and think happy thoughts and your eye will be better. His doctor is truly amazing he takes my son before everyone if I call his office and makes sure he is okay I'm so thankful for him!! He reffered us to a pediatric eye doctor but they were rude told my son to lose the paci and get a hair cut they thought he was a girl he also needed his prescription upped and they wouldn't do it so I called the regular eye doctor and he upped his dose and it helped a ton!!
