Tri-Sprintec Experiences?

Question

I just went to an OB/GYN yesterday to get birth-control for the first time. 
I have been having painful heavy periods for a while, but I also just started being sexually active within the last year with my boyfriend. 
So on top of lessening the complications of a period, I can also not worry about getting pregnant.

The doctor prescribed me Tri-Sprintec.
Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with this medicine?

I have use it for years. I use to get agonizing cramps but ever since I've been taking it I hardly get any cramps. SO grateful for that! Makes my periods a little lighter too. 
Be sure that you never miss a pill and try to take them at the same time everyday! Set a reminder on your phone everyday. Not only does missing pills increase your chance of getting pregnant but it usually causes bad breakthrough bleeding and other side effects.
