Have anyone else experienced ovarian cysts?

I just got told that I have one and I'm freaking out just a bit about it.

I just had my first one rupture two weeks ago and it was EXCRUCIATING pain. I couldn't move, I was actually sweating from the pain and I felt like I could barely talk. It was so horrible.

I get them a lot. It's the worst pain I've ever felt when they rupture. And when they're just there, its still pretty painful. Its an undescribable pain. But 99%of the time, they're harmless. If you ever feel like you need to go to the emergency room, don't hesitate. They can be life threatening and cause internal bleeding so its always better to be safe than sorry. The only thing I've ever found that helps the pain is just being completely still until it settles down.

My doctor told me every woman gets them. It only becomes an issue if they twist or strangle or syphon the blood out of the ovary. I know from experience that it's scary. I had to have a surgery because it was life and death. There are days I feel guilty for having one ovary. Other times I wish they performed a full hysterectomy. Everyone is different, and sometimes they can cause major issues when trying to conceive. Hope all is well and that you don't have to suffer from PCOS

I've only known for sure that I had one, but it was the size of a softball and had to be taken out along with my right ovary.

I had a couple that ruptured and have never been in so much pain. I was in and out of the hospital a couple times and then finally have surgery.

I have suffered for years. Most if the time they just burst and you have some abdominal pain for a few days then your body clears out the debris. But once I had one that kept growing larger and I had to have it removed. Some people only get one, it bursts, and that's the end of it. Other people, like me, have them constantly. I don't know if they will be a detriment to ttc. They weren't for me. But ask your doctor

I had one that was so big my dr thought it was a follicle. I knew something was wrong because I had bad cramping. I just took a month off trying to conceive and it shrunk and eventually went away. And cysts are normal during your cycle so I guess depending where you are in your cycle it might just be a normal cyst
