I got rid of my cellulite with this simple DIY recipe!!

Sq
Hi all! I'm so excited about this new DIY oil I came upon (kinda by accident) that I thought I would share so others could try it and get awesome results too!! I'm a soap maker by trade and am always formulating new recipes based on my skincare problems, or the needs of a customer. I recently had a customer ask me if I would make a Coffee soap with coffee grounds added for exfoliation. I thought it was a fun idea so began formulating a recipe. Because my soaps are 100% no artificial ANYTHING, I began looking into ways to make the soap have an extra coffee-smell boost without using a fragrance oil (which are just lab-created "copy-cats" of the real thing and made with nasty chemical additives). I looked around online and all I found were ridiculously expensive coffee bean extract oils & essential oils. Because I make large batches, the price for how much I needed would be exorbitant, which would make the price at which I could sell the soap really high. I didn't like that, so did some digging around and discovered it was actually really easy to make your own coffee bean infused oil from scratch! The first batch I made, I used fresh ground coffee beans to make the scent stronger, and it turned out great! I started researching the actual benefits of this oil (since I like my soaps to smell pretty, but it's more important to me that they have skin-nourishing benefits that actually WORK), and was incredibly impressed by what this stuff could actually do for your skin! I've battled with eczema my whole life. I get it mostly on my inner thighs, and shaving only makes the problem worse, especially if I use a soap or shaving cream with harsh chemical additives & perfumes. What's more, I also struggle with cellulite. My biggest problem areas are my butt and upper thighs, and I've always been one of those people wearing shorts at the beach to cover up my dimpled booty! Motherhood has also created unsightly stretch marks on my hips, bum & thighs. It's frustrating because I workout daily & eat super healthy, and no matter what I do, the stubborn cellulite remains! I was so intrigued by the benefits of this homemade coffee bean extract oil so much that I decided to make a bigger batch for personal use. I love the smell of coffee, but since this was something I was going to apply directly to my skin, I didn't want it to be as strongly scented as the batch I had made to put in my soap recipe, so I used whole coffee beans instead, which helped make the coffee smell a little less potent, but still light, fragrant and enjoyable. I began using it daily, after getting out of the shower, and again at night before bed. I used a few drops on my face, and also slathered it on my bum, thighs and stretch mark areas, and then massaged it into my skin. The results have been nothing short of amazing!!! The skin on my face appears tighter, brighter, clear and even-toned! Even fine lines around my eyes have seemed to fade away, and on Father's Day I was actually carded when I went to pick my husband up a special cigar he likes to occasionally enjoy with a glass of whiskey (NO JOKE, AND I'M 35!!!). The best part of all is what it's done for my thighs and butt! The eczema bumps I've fought to control for YEARS are completely gone, and not only is my skin smooth and silky soft, but my cellulite has totally vanished!!!! Not a single unsightly dimple anywhere, and my booty as a whole looks lifted, tighter and firm!! Even the appearance of my stretch marks has faded drastically, and I feel confident to ditch the shorts and just walk around the beach in my bikini now!! The most amazing part of all is I've only been doing this regimen for 2 weeks!! I can't wait to see how much MORE my skin will improve after a month & longer! I'm kicking myself for not taking before & after pics, but I honestly didn't think it would work this drastically well! I don't think I'll ever spend another dime on expensive face creams or body lotions ever again. This stuff is an anti-aging, skin tightening & brightening miracle, and it's SO inexpensive and EASY!!! I've had such good results, I thought I'd share how I made it so that others can enjoy the benefits too! So here's how it's done... Go out to a bulk foods store like Sprouts, Fresh Market or Whole Foods and get yourself some dark roast, whole bean coffee. I used Sumatran coffee, but any dark roast will do, just make sure it's not flavored. I bought a lot of it to use for drinking too, but for this recipe you will need 4oz by weight, not volume. I have a heavy-duty soaping scale, so when I came home I just weighed out 4oz & set it aside. You will also need one 25.5 fl oz (754ml) bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (preferably organic). If you want your finished product to have a stronger coffee aroma, you can grind the beans coarsely, but otherwise, whole bean will work just as well... It's just a matter of personal preference, but if you grind your beans, make sure you have some cheese cloth handy for straining. Put your coffee beans or grounds in a small crock pot and then cover them with the olive oil, using a wooden spoon to make sure coffee is thoroughly coated. Put your crock pot on low heat & then cook for 10 to 12 hours, stirring the mixture every hour on the hour. This is a good project to do on a rainy day or weekend, when you don't have anywhere to go and can just chill & relax at home for the day. When done, simply strain the mixture through a wire strainer (for whole bean) or cheese cloth (for ground) into a 35oz mason jar. Let the mixture cool before putting the lid on it. Since I didn't want a bulky mason jar on my bathroom counter, I poured a little into a 2oz amber-colored glass jar & stored it in my bathroom cabinet that way, refilling as needed. That's it!! It's so easy and works AMAZING!!!! This extract will have a shelf life of 6 months from the date it was made, and refrigeration is not required. You CAN choose to refridgerate it if you'd like to make the oil cool as you rub it into your skin, or even warm it up a bit before use if preferred, but it's not necessary and is just personal preference, as I use it at room temp. You will want to store it away from excessive heat and light though, in a sealed glass jar. This coffee extract oil can be applied directly to the skin and massaged in a circular motion, or can even be added to a lotion base to make it creamier. If you make homemade soaps, like I do, you can add it to your soap mixture at trace to make a skin-loving bar of soap! I hope you enjoyed reading this epically long post (sorry!) and fall in love with this AMAZING DIY home remedy as much as I have!!😀
