Traveling abroad while pregnant?

I just found out I am pregnant, not sure how far along (less than a month). I was planning on traveling to Europe this July. I should be about 5-6 mths along by then. Can I still travel?

You're only gonna be like 4months. And it's perfectly safe to travel. Just have good insurance and consult with your doctor before you go.

I wouldn't but I'd ask your doctor. We are also more prone to disease as pregnant women so I personally wouldn't want to be in a place I don't know.

The reason people don't travel is if they are high risk or if they are getting close to their due date. You don't want to be in need of an emergency cesarean while up in a plane. Make sure you have good insurance just in case you need to have something unexpected done while away. 
But as long as you won't be traveling back in your last trimester and you have your doctors ok. It should all be fine.

I work in Kenya and traveled there at 18-20 weeks. My OB has many women that travel all over when pregnant. If you're low risk there shouldn't be any problems. You'll be a lot more tired and jet lagged. The CDC has great info on traveling to different countries while pregnant.
