IUI ?

Question

Hey ladies Anyone here done the IUI , IVF or any of the others for artificial insemination ? How did the process go ? Did you get put on medication ?

I did an IUI and it worked the first time for me. I was on a few different drugs (femara,ovidrel, estrogen, and progesterone).  I have PCOS so ovulation wasn't going to happen without them. 
The procedure was really simple. My husband left a sample that they washed to eliminate all the bad sperm. We came back an hour later for my part. It wasn't that much different then a Pap test. They do use a catheter to open your cervix a bit. That didn't hurt at all. Then they inserted the sperm through this long syringe type thing. I did have cramping with that but it only lasted like 10 seconds and it wasn't bad at all. Afterwards I laid down for 5 minutes and I was free to go. I was nervous about the entire thing but it was simple and painless. Would totally do it again if I had to.

I did iui a few weeks ago and it did not work. But I think the timing was off because I am very fertile. Trying again in a week or so.
