Should the age of consent be lowered to 16?

Considering that most people lose their virginity starting at 16 and that those in high school can be dating seniors that are 18, would you support a law lowering the legal age of consent from 18 to 16?

I think legal age should be based upon either having a job or going to college. I say, if you are trying or contributing to society it should be 25. I also think that based on that, sex education needs to be pushed more in schools. Its become painfully obvious that these teens are lacking the education they should be getting at home about sex and relationships because children are seeking advice from parents that were teenagers them selves when they had them. Please whatever you do, use protection.

In England the legal age of consent is 16 and I thoroughly agree with that because this way, people have more access to contraception and advice. Having it at 18 won't stop people doing it but it could potentially make it more dangerous for them...
