Okay, so I'm 15 and I'm wanting to get an IUD in to help with my period, and just to have the security of knowing I'm on birth control. I plan on getting the same one as my mom, which lasts about 5 years, but it's suggested to get it changed every four because the last year doesn't have much potency. Has anyone else gotten this? Also, how awkward is it the first few visits to the OBGYN along with getting it in? How bad were the cramps afterwards? (I'm gonna have fun with that last one I'm going to go home and immediately take as much pain meds as I can)
