Baby Bottles??

Question

Does anyone have suggestions on the best baby bottles to get? I know it's still early but I was just wondering.

I dont know from experience whats the best but when I registered with Motherhood Maternity they gave me a gift basket that had a bottle in it! Moms in the store swear by it!

Avent... loved using them as a nanny easy to clean. Most kids take to them.

Dr brown... great for fussy kids but cleaning and assembly sucks! My guy looked at them and his poor eyes popped out of his head.

When I nursed, I used the modela ones that came with my pump and we had no problem transitioning back and forth between bottle and nursing. They aren't fancy but we never had any issues with acid reflux or spitting up.  When we started formula I loved Dr Browns because my daughter never got an upset stomach from them. Seems like every other baby spit up after having a bottle and she never did. However they are a pain to clean.

it depends on the baby. I thought my second would like the same ones that my first did but she wouldn't even touch them. I would recommend getting one of several brands to try with your baby. once you figure out what they like, then buy more of that one.

I used Avent, we liked them, no problems. I tried some of the Playtex ventaire ones, but it seemed that they would leak not matter what we did. We ended up getting rid of the ones we had. My sister is currently using the Playtex ventaire and not having any problems, so maybe they fixed the issue in the last 6 years ;)

We used the Playtex bottles with the liners. So easy, but can't be used with bottle warmers. We just used room temp water from a Brita pitcher when we were on formula.

I would recommend buying or registering for one of a bunch of different kinds.  Then you can find out which brand works best through trial and error.

We used Dr. Browns, Playtex Ventair, and the little Medela bottles.  We did not like the Dr. Browns - too many parts to clean and too many crevices on all those parts.  Our daycare usually washed the bottles and the parts ended up getting moldy.  Yuck!  We also didn't have gas or reflux issues so we didn't really need Dr. Browns.  We preferred the Playtex.

I breast-fed my son and when I had to return to work I sent him with Tommee tippee. If you are breast-feeding, make sure you use the slowest flow nipple. Honestly we had a few sample bottles from other brands and my son did not really care which one he got – he never really used pacifiers either, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I brought a few tommy tippee ones 99p each in charity shop. They all still had packaging. I still have ones from when my son was a baby. I do plan on breastfeeding but brought them just in case x
