My name is Naomi and I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Feb. 11, 2015. I had gone in for a normal routine check up on her the day before and my blood pressure was extremely high, almost stroke levels. I had no side effects from it at all. This was a major concern for the doctors so they scheduled an ultrasound to check on baby. When we got to the ultrasound tech, she said there was no amniotic fluid anywhere around her. I was then admitted into labor and delivery to monitor my blood pressure. After a few hours, nothing for better and I found out that I had a severe case of preeclampsia and it happened so fast the doctors never saw any of the side effects in other appointments. I was then told that I would have to have an emergency C-section early the next morning, because they don't want to risk losing me or the baby or maybe both of us. I was in shock! I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl the next morning. She was 2 months premature (born at 27 wks) and weighed 1 lb 12 ounces 13.5 in long. However, she was perfectly healthy! I am so thankful to have such a strong, amazing baby girl. She has definitely been a little fighter and her daddy and I couldn't before proud of her!!
