I went in for an appointment today and have been having a lot of very painful contractions. I told the dr and she did an internal exam and said no dilation but cervix is soft. She did the fibronectin test for preterm labor but hasn't gotten results. My question is has anyone else had this problem with a soft cervix. She said she usually doesn't like to see this until at least 32-37 weeks.
