I've been there four times. The main three times I didn't listen to the counseling, but the fourth time was a charm. It's not as crazy as most say. It's actually pretty normal you make friends with the nurses, and patients. Then do counseling, and within three weeks or so you're allowed to leave.

Yes I have been to a unit and a cbat. After both of those I went to a shitty program that was total shit and everyone there (staff and kids) treated me like I was nothing. Right now I actually live at a different residential program but I’ve earned being home and sleeping at home on the weekends

Yeeeepppp. As pissed as I was while there and how much I wanted to leave and try killing myself again, in retrospect I'm glad it happened. But I did attempting again, but not for almost a year. Second time they tried to admit me I knew exactly what I had to avoid and they only kept me a day. Bad decision. I should have stayed and gotten help.

yes actually, at the beginning of this year. I found out my boyfriend of 4 years and "best friend" were sleeping together for about 7 months of my relationship (fun fact I just found out yesterday she's pregnant). I had a miscarriage, lost my job, car, and house due to severe depression. Ended up in the BSU for 3 weeks. it helped but not having a job, health insurance, and not being able to afford the medication they prescribed has really not helped.

Yes. I was in like 2010 or 2011. It was the worst experience and set me back a lot in my healing process. The "doctors" didn't seem to know ANYTHING about me, yet they casually kept prescribing me heavy meds. I was on 4 or 5 at once. I was worse off when I got out. I'd never do it again.
