It's common knowledge that smoking is harmful for the body. Not only that but by dating people who smoke you open yourself up to the effects of secondhand smoke which can be just as bad. 
I'm not saying get rid of smoking, but the commercial isn't quite in the wrong.

It isn't rude, it's trying to discourage the youth from damaging their health by getting involved in a costly, foul, unhealthy habit. Smoking is rude. Puting harmful chemicals into the air and exposing your loved ones to life threatening pathogens? That's rude. I have had asthma for my entire life and so has the rest of my family. Inhaling smoke from cigarettes aggrivates my asthma to the point that I have to use my rescue inhaler or I will stop breathing. Putting others through that because someone "chooses to smoke" is not fair. I think commercials like these are a huge step forward towards ending smoking  so I support them. No matter how annoying the jingles get, if they discourage people from picking up the foul habit they are worth it. Please, if you have a healthy set of lungs, don't ruin it! People like me would give the world for that, be thankful for what you have by taking care of your body!

It's annouing. And pretty much saying if you suffer from an addiction (to cigarettes in this case) then Noone wants to be with you.

Ha! I hate that commercial. I don't smoke, but, I think the Truth campaign  is an embarrassing fail that serves to make non-smokers look worse than smokers.

I like it. I think in this day and age choosing to smoke is just about as dumb as driving drunk. It's harmful to yourself and those around you. My uncle-in-law just died at 58 because of lung cancer. He smoked pretty much his whole life.
There are less harmful, cheaper ways to de-stress.
